Today finally marked my last day in Tokyo. Having the habit of conserving at least one ‘chill day’ for a trip, the day was more laid-back compared to the past seven days.
Roponggi
Casually exploring around Tokyo via the Subway Lines, we started off at Roponggi Hills @ Roponggi Station. It is your usual city districts, with modern buildings, offices, and shops around the city.
With the Japanese standard, even the business district looks so artistic.
Tokyo Tower
From here, we followed Google Map and walked towards Tokyo Tower (~15 min). Feel free to go up to the observatory deck to view the city. We gave it a miss and simply admire the tower from below.

Just another casual driver on the road in Japan.
Odaiba
Next, we took the subway to Odaiba to watch the famous Rainbow Bridge. Note that you can actually walk across the bridge to reach Odaiba, however you should give it a miss if the weather is bad and if you have acrophobia – the height can be pretty intimidating.
From Odaiba Station, walk ~5 min and explore around the Decks Tokyo Beach, Aquacity, and DiverCity Tokyo Plaza. Enjoy a cuppa in one of the coffee shops on the decks and watch as the sun sets over the Rainbow Bridge, the view is quite spectacular.

Since it was the last day of our trip, we’ve decided to catch up with some things that we missed eating in Tokyo. We couldn’t decide whether to take the Ramen or Sashimi, so we came up with the simplest solution – we took both.
Afuri Ramen
For Ramen, we had the famous Afuri Ramen near Ebisu Station (~5 min walk) – an alternative to your usual Tonkotsu Ramen. The broth (shio/shoyu based) topped by grilled pork, is made of light chicken stock with yuzu that is rather refreshing to the palate.
On the way walking home from Afuri Ramen, we stopped by a random restaurant to have Sashimi. Just because we wanted to. Oh boy were they so fresh and came in big portions!
Ebisu Tsukumo Ramen
Call us crazy. We had another late night supper of Cheese Ramen at Ebisu Tsukumo Ramen, which was conveniently located behind our Airbnb. There were no pictures taken, but if you’re a Ramen & Cheese lover, check it out here.
With that, we finally concluded the end of the 8-day Tokyo trip with a satisfied tummy! It will definitely not be the last since I absolutely ADORE Japan (and the food)!
